For Sale: Nintendo GameCube Platinum/Silver DOL-001 NTSC-U/C (US/Canada) Console. A DOL-001 Gamecube Console was completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned internally and externally. The interior and exterior are both in very good condition with minimal to no blemishes. This sale is for the GameCube console ONLY. No accesories or games inlcuded. The following restoration work was completed on this GameCube: 1. A Platinum/Silver DOL-001 GameCube console was completely disassembled, and all internal plastic parts were hand/brush washed thoroughly with Dawn soap/water, then wiped dry with microfiber cloth to avoid water spots, then air dried for a couple of days. Internal metal parts were wiped down with 99% Isopropryl Alcohol (IPA) and microfiber cloth. After cleaning, this is a very nice console, both internally and externally. Exterior Silver shell is in excellent condition and looks almost new, as the pictures show. The internals are also in excellent condition. The RF shield between the laser/motor/spindle-area and the optical drive PCB is of the gray variant. In the pictures, you might notice some reflections on interior metal parts and restored lid jewel, these are just me taking pictures. 2. All ten electrolytic capacitors on Optical Drive PCB were replaced with new, high-quality ones, and the Optical (Disc) Drive functions normally. I adjusted the potentiometer on the optical drive PCB to approximately 175-200 ohms. 3. Optical Drive PCB, Main Board PCB, power button PCB, Power Board PCB, Controller Board PCB, and system fan were all cleaned with 99% IPA to remove any accumulated dust or flux residue. All electrical contacts were cleaned with electronic contact cleaner and then subsequently wiped down with 99% IPA again. 4. Optical Drive completely disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt. The moving parts (rails and cog) were cleaned of old lubricant, and new plastic-safe, silicone-based lubricant was applied. The laser was gently cleaned with 99% IPA. 5. The lid switch was opened up and cleaned. The lid switch interior metal contacts and the plastic housing were cleaned of any accumulated dust and/or debris. It functions normally. 6. Original Orange LED replaced with Blue LED. 7. The original clock battery was removed and replaced with a CR2032 Button Battery Socket with a new Energizer CR2032 battery. The button battery socket allows for the clock battery to be changed without having to desolder it, like the original one. The new battery should last approximately 7-10 years, but can now be replaced easily if it does ever loses its full capacity. 8. New thermal pads placed on Main Board CPU, GPU, and RAM memory modules. Thermal pads have a thermal conductivity rating of 6.0 W/mK. 9. Round Lid Jewel with GameCube logo restored via wet sanding, and looks very nice. 10. Lid open button has special spring installed. Please view all pictures as they show the exact GameCube included in this sale. I include a series of pictures showing the GameCube during reassembly, as proof how clean the GameCube is on every level. Additional pictures show all 4 controller ports functioning normally in NFL Blitz game, as proof they all work; and another picture showing both memory ports functioning. SALE DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: – NFL Blitz 2003 game disc- nYko Memory cards seen in photos- Controllers- No cords or power supply included- Television set or other random gaming items in pictures – Any physical GameCube discs. NO GAMES INCLUDED. This console has been completely cleaned, repaired, and restored with care, by me, and has full functionality. Every single piece on this GameCube has been thoroughly cleaned to the best of my abilities, and the overall condition is very good, with like new functionality. I have tested the console thoroughly after all restoration work, and it functions normally. Hopefully, after being cleaned, repaired, and restored, this Gamecube can provide someone with many more years of enjoyment. I provide pictures of the interior and exterior of the GameCube as proof of the cleanliness of the console, so potential buyers can observe, firsthand, that this console was actually restored. Images showing gameplay in this listing, and of the GameCube console menu and memory cards, are being output from the GameCube’s ANALOG AV out. The DIGITAL AV out was tested using a Carby upscaler and functions completely normal. Both AV outs work as they should. I ship using USPS Ground Advantage. Buyer pays for return shipping. Return will be void if the numbered tamper-proof warranty security sticker is removed from, or tampered with, from the bottom shell of the GameCube. The security sticker is placed over one of the screw holes. The console must also be in the exact same condition it was in when shipped by me, or return will be void. I keep a photographic record of the Gamecube serial number along with the associated with security sticker. I do this to keep retro consoles from being thrown out, so please, if there are any issues, contact me and I am certain we can figure out a solution, as I want all buyers to be satisfied.
